Is the remote simple to use? Yes. The remote turns the purifier off and on by pressing the white button in the center of the gray circle. It also has (+) and (-) buttons that control the fan speed. The + button increases the fan speed. The - button decreases the fan speed. The remote can be magnetically placed on the center top of the device for safe keeping. The remote takes one CR2025 battery.
Is the AirMend easy to turn off and on? The AirMend air purifier is very easy to turn off and on. There is a power button on the remote that turns the device off and on.
Does the AirMend work for strong odors? No. The AirMend Large Room HEPA Air Purifier only has a HEPA filter media to remove fine particles like viruses, bacteria, mold spores, dust, and pet dander. AirMend only works with the white HEPA filter replacement. If odors are your main concern, check out our TrueCarbon™ products.
Are AirMend filters easy and affordable to replace? Do they last a long time? Yes. AirMend filters are easy to replace, affordable, and last a long time. Replacing your filters only takes seconds and the process is simply taking off the front grill and swapping out dirty filters for new filters. The pre-filter should last the life of the device if properly cared for and cleaned. The HEPA media filter should last 12 months. The edge of the filter has markings showing the orientation for installation. Make sure the filter is installed with the arrows pointing inward and the TOP is facing upward. The air purifier may not operate if the filter is not inserted with the proper orientation.
Where do I purchase replacement filters? Only genuine Oransi filters will work in the AirMend. Replacement filters can be purchased directly from Oransi. We’ve engineered the AirMend this way to maintain quality control and ensure you get the best air cleaning performance.
How do I clean my filters? The AirMend Large Room HEPA Air Purifier comes with two filters: a pre-filter and a HEPA filter based media filter. The pre-filter can be washed or vacuumed. Both filters can be vacuumed and cleaned with a soft cloth. You can also clean the outside of the purifier with a soft cloth if needed.
How do I wash my pre-filter? The AirMend pre-filter is a wire mesh filter that should last the lifetime of the product if cared for and cleaned properly. You can vacuum or wipe with a damp cloth to remove excess dust. We would not recommend letting the pre-filter sit in water and it is not dishwasher safe.
How do I replace the filters?
1. Turn off and unplug the purifier.
2. Take off the front grill of the purifier.
3. Take out the pre-filter and HEPA media filter.
4. Put the new HEPA media filter into the device.
5. Put the pre-filter back into the device.
6. Put the front grill of the purifier back on.
7. Plug in the purifier and turn the device back on with the remote.
What if my remote is not adjusting the fan speed? Our remotes have a plastic tab that saves battery life during shipping. This needs to be removed before the remote will work. If the plastic tab has been removed, then most likely the issue is that the battery needs to be replaced. The remote takes one CR2025 battery. If your remote is still not working please reach out to our US based customer service team.
Is the AirMend easy to carry? Yes. The AirMend air purifier is very easy to carry. It’s lightweight with a small footprint that can easily fit on your tabletop. The dimensions are 13" x 13" x 8" (W x H x D) and the weight is 7 lbs.
Is the AirMend loud? No. The AirMend is not a loud air purifier. There are 10 fan speeds so you can easily control the airflow and noise level with the remote. The decibel range is 30-62 dBA. On its lowest setting the AirMend sounds like someone whispering. The AirMend’s highest setting, 62 dBA, sounds like your dishwasher running.
